McElroy to Exhibit at CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show

TULSA, Okla. — McElroy, the pipe fusion experts, will exhibit at the 2011 CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show in Las Vegas on March 22 -26. The show will be located at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with McElroy located at booth S-750.

McElroy will exhibit the most dynamic range of pipe fusion products and productivity tools in the company’s history. Products scheduled to appear include:

  • The MegaMc 1600 — The 1600 is the world’s largest pipe fusion machine. The four-jaw fusion machine features 30,000 pounds of clamping force per jaw, and 88,000 pounds of available fusion force for fusing thick wall pipes and overcoming heavy drag forces. The machine is designed for fusing pipe sizes from 20 to 65 inches (500mm — 1,600mm) in diameter.
  • The In-Field Tensile Tester — The new testing unit from McElroy allows a fusion technician to quickly test a fusion joint from two inch and larger high-density polyethylene pipes. The qualitative testing method is performed by cutting a coupon from a completed pipe joint and then testing that fusion joint in a hand-pump powered testing unit.
  • The DynaMc line of fusion machines — McElroy will present products and information on the complete line of DynaMc fusion machines, including the DynaMc HP (hand-pump), EP (electric pump) and Auto (automated).

“CONEXPO is an important show for us,” said Chip McElroy, president of McElroy. “It’s critical to show the world’s construction and industry professionals what your organization has been developing. We’re excited about the products we’re taking to the show.”

McElroy will also have a large number of personnel working the CONEXPO booth, including a large, multilingual staff. Personnel from McElroy’s distribution network will also be on site to help educate end users about the benefit of McElroy equipment.
