Jack Madore, Keith Mole added to Fusion Hall of Fame

Jack Madore and Keith Mole have been officially named 2025 inductees of the Fusion Hall of Fame.

Created in 2019, the Fusion Hall of Fame recognizes the innovators whose commitment to development and acceptance of fusible plastic pipe has significantly advanced the fusible plastic pipe industry over the past 50 years. Inductees are individuals whose contributions have been particularly notable and whose impact and influence on the industry lives on today.

“The contributions made by Jack and Keith to our industry cannot be overstated,” said McElroy President and CEO Chip McElroy. “Their tireless efforts to promote fused plastic pipe, both domestically and abroad have led directly to the success we enjoy today.”

JACK MADORE

In 1986, Jack Madore purchased a small Tucson engineering firm called Crow Company which supplied equipment to the mining and gas industries in the area. The business thrived under his leadership, and early in his new venture Jack learned about a new piping material called high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and realized how it could revolutionize his company.

Crow Company became an official McElroy distributor in 1992 and soon began selling and renting McElroy fusion equipment. By the mid-1990s, Crow Company was flourishing. The business had expanded its service area to include all of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Sonora Mexico, with the copper mining industry in particular driving a portion of their growth.

Jack was a tireless advocate for his team, and when he chose to step back from day-to-day operations at Crow Company in the mid-1990s, he did so with confidence, knowing the company was in capable hands.

KEITH MOLE

In the late 1980s, Keith Mole was well-known in the United Kingdom’s pipe fusion market. He had met members of McElroy leadership at different area pipeline exhibitions and was considered an expert in the fledgling field. At the same time, McElroy recognized an opportunity for growth in Europe, and members of the company’s leadership approached Keith to ask if he would join the company. Keith agreed.

As a tireless advocate for McElroy and plastic pipe fusion, Keith grew McElroy’s presence not just in the UK, but elsewhere as well. His service region expanded to eventually include Europe, Africa, the former Soviet Union, and the Middle East. As an expert in the field, he served on several international committees, including the PE100+ Association, the Pipeline Industries Guild, and the UK Trenchless Society. From 2007 to 2008, he served as the National Chairman of the Pipeline Industries Guild, a position that required a vote of his peers.

Under his leadership McElroy grew into the leading supplier of butt fusion machines in the United Kingdom – a major achievement for a “foreign” supplier. Even today, Keith’s influence can be felt throughout the UK, Europe, Northern Africa, the middle East, South Africa and beyond.
