Seeing our equipment on a recent episode of Gold Rush was a real kick! As Tony Beets’ mining crew was fast on its way to another gold discovery, they were waylaid by a ruptured water line. No worries though, they were quick on their feet with an assortment of McElroy fusion equipment so they could fuse up some high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
They fused with a Rolling 618 and even used a PolyHorse™ pipe handling system. We love it when our equipment saves the day! And while we may not recommend this at home, they found that the heater plate worked quite well as a pizza oven!
