Jim Johnston, Chief Innovation Officer at McElroy, was named Member of the Year in the Energy Piping Systems and Municipal/Industrial Division by the Plastics Pipe Institute (PPI) last month at its annual meeting in Naples, Fla. He was recognized for his relentless pursuit of standardizing practices and educating the industry and end users on heat fusion technology. Jim has supported manufacturers and end users in numerous presentations, workshops and seminars. He has also given his time and expertise to support the use of HDPE pipe in water and waste water applications as part of the Municipal Advisory Board, AWWA, at trade shows and in the development and writing of technical documents.
