Are you setting up your jobsite for maximum efficiency? By using the McElroy MegaMc® PolyHorse® or PolyHorse in conjunction with your fusion machine, you can increase your fusion production by 150 percent.
These pipe-handling systems consist of a series of adjustable racks that will hold enough pipe for a day’s worth of fusion work. Polyethylene pipe can be off-loaded from the delivery truck directly onto these systems where it is off the ground and out of the way until needed. When ready to fuse pipe, the operator rolls the pipe down the racks and onto the integral pipe rollers where it is easily loaded into a McElroy fusion machine. This eliminates costs for heavy machinery and extra manpower to repeatedly lift, align, load each stick of pipe to be fused.
These systems are available in two size ranges: the standard PolyHorse for 3” IPS to 20” OD (90mm to 500mm) or the MegaMc PolyHorse for larger size pipe from 20” OD to 48” OD (500mm to 1,200mm).
The PolyHorse is available in a manual model or with hydraulic PowerAssist to help move pipe up, down and into the fusion carriage. The MegaMc PolyHorse features a powered, tracked pipe stand operated by remote control.
